Classroom Program

We are dedicated to supporting children with hearing loss, and their families,
as they learn to listen and speak.

MD Accreditation/Curriculum

A Sound Beginning is accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education to care for children ages two through five. We group children by their skills and needs in small groups. We use a state approved, standardized curriculum called the InvestiGator Club to expose children to preschool educational concepts as they relate to reading, writing, math, science, technology, and social-emotional development.

Children are naturally curious and want to know about the world, and their place in it. Our program taps into this sense of wonder, while deepening the children’s knowledge of themselves and their world. While auditory-verbal principles are integrated into every activity for learning to listen, children are actively engaged in exploring and learning about themselves and our world.
